Ready...I think!!

Recon I'm ready as I'll ever be for tomorrow. I have a show at 11am - sugarcraft. I've just tried my fantastic moulds with my paperclay and they work a treat, so I hope it will be that show (I must remember to pack the results). I then have a two hour show from 2-4. Lots of demo's and hopefully some lovely samples - well I hope you like them. To finish off the day I'm back on at 7pm (in-between we are doing a clip for the club members showing triple thick embossing and angelina fibres). Busy old day ahead, so why am I still up at midnight. Because I'm a silly sausage, that's why. Before I pop off, I'll load some photo's, sorry about the quality, the light in my house is terrible (these cards are gonna look a whole lot different tomorrow, I really really need a bulb for my Ottlite!!). Anyhow, here's what I've been up to this evening:
So, what do you need to look out for! Man, this is a big shopping list. Really enjoyed my box full of goodies. There are beautiful papers, stamps, the gems are fantastic. I love the flowers and the wood embellishments. Oh, of course, then there's the embossing folders......sorry your going to hear "I love these" way to much again!! Hope to 'see' you tomorrow. Night all xx

Crafty wonders for Tuesday

It's prep time for my show on Tuesday, got some lovely goodies. Brilliant Jane has been busy already, have a ganders at her cards so far. I'll crack on with mine tomorrow :)

Spellbinders POW launch

Still catching up with my blog posts. The other show I wanted to share was the launch of the new POW from Spellbinders. I think Sue Wilson has transformed the way we use and look at our dies. Her cards are always so beautiful, from the understated classical design, to the ones sporting flourishes and bows - everyone looks amazing. Here's some of the cards Sue made for the show - imagine the hours of work she puts in for each show, whilst travelling to and from America for her family, and doing the shows like Ali Pally. And she still manages to do fabulous samples, always wears a smile, and never complains about the workload or stresses. Hats off to Ms Wilson :) As usual, with this new blog styling I dunno where it's gonna put the photo's, really annoying....I want them here please. Lets see what happens!!
I often wonder how people manage to fit so much stuff into a day. I often wonder how my mum did it. She had me and my sister, dad, a job, the house always looked clean, we were always fed well, she did all the laundry (I don't remember my dad helping with any of the house hold chores - sorry dad if this is a memory I've deleted, I know you are better trained these days), but she never seemed to complain about her lot. Yet I only have myself and the dogs to look after and I never have enough time in the day. I know people who only work, don't have to clean, look after anyone or anything else, cook etc yet they still complain about their lot and being knackered. Maybe some people just get on with it (and have superwomen pants on under the jeans!!). It's often the same with work, when your on air you have to put on a brave face whatever your going through (a runny nose can be harder to hide however!!). Some people are amazing. They don't complain, manage to do their work and leave all their issues at the door. I suppose it's part of being professional. And in my experience it actually helps you get over the rubbish stuff thats going on in life - smiles can be infectious can't they, and can most definitely make you feel better. And lets face it - who hasn't had a bad week/month/year. Figure we all have a t-shirt to wear!! Anyway, my "to do" list today is mega.....so I hope you like Sue's creations, I'm gonna dig out my superwoman pants and try to attack the mountain of washing with determination!!

Hot of the Press

I'm rather behind with my postings, but still wanted to say how lovely Mel and my hot of the press show was. I have always loved HOTP, and the kits we had on were lovely. And the stamps, I so wanted the stamps. I'll pop on a few photos of a couple of the cards - so pretty.

Crafty cruise...and stuff

So, it's a week away!!! Omg. The cruise. I finally got the cards finished (can't share as some readers may be coming along). Hope they keep everyone busy. Also going to be doing demos, so still need to pack my bag of tricks for that one. Talking of bags, I realised I do not possess a proper full size suit case!! How bizarre. 40 years old and I don't have a suitcase. This shows just how often I've had holidays - not enough evidently!! Well, who needs a suitcase at Glastonbury festival and the like :)

We had some proper professional photos done for work yesterday. They felt very posh, lovely location in Stamford. Hopefully they'll be out soon.

Also had a little shop, beads!! I WILL use them. Couldn't resist, look at this stash...(see pics, not sure where blogger app is gonna stick em!).

How cool are they. It's a little shop in afflecks palace in manchester - really worth a visit. It's on the second floor. Watch out for some funky jewellery soon!!

I'm back into posting, so will be updating again....within theory.

Bye for now.
