Weekend excitement

Getting ready for the weekend, everything coming together, really excited!!! Debbi's team are brill, and they've put up with me saying"....mmm can I have this please?"so many times!

As usual my living room looks like a big craft bomb has hit it. Oh mother - eventually it'll all need cleaning again. Gulp.

If you would like to join us at the weekend I think there are still a few places, do check Debbi's web site:

Next mag project...

I've had a full day crafting, and making a complete mess of the living room again. That's the rubbish bit isn't it, trying to put it all away again, as the space it came from has mysteriously disappeared!

The nice thing is the fact that I've been able to stay nice and warm, spend time with the dogs, and keep out of the absolutely rubbish weather. I can only give you a sneaky peak at the projects I've been working on, as they are for next months Cardmaking and papercrafts magazine. I have loved it though. I've got to use my favourite graphic 45 papers, my new sizzix die, and my new stamps from PaperArtsy - which ill be up-dating my web site with this week. Love em. It's a great excuse to play with loads of new goodies.

Here's the sneaky peak:

Inspirations

Had a wonderful day yesterday at inspirations. Thank you to everyone who came and said hello. Especially little Jamie, who is an absolute love.

I was working with the brand new products from pinflair. The gentle blends, glitter paint and the pearl wands. Marvellous. As usual I didn't make any cards up, just showed techniques and what you can do with the different products. The glitter paste is my fav, gotta admit. It goes on loads of different surfaces, and the colours are great. I've attached a few photos of some of the finishes, using stamps, masks and stencils.

The first piece is stamping, and you can pick the paint up and lift it out, as it is a water based paint.

The second, I have used the gentle blends for the background and then through a stencil. The paint is so wet, when you have finished the stencilling the background is still wet enough to hold embossing powder, so I've covered the whole piece with glitter embossing powder.

The butterfly is the same, the square is done with gentle blends, and then some of the glitter paste over the top. Completely changed the look altogether.

Have fun and play. Xx

Triple thick embossing

Just in case you haven't bought your issue of Cardmaking and papercrafts magazine this time, I thought I'd share the photos from this issue. All the materials used and instructions are in the mag, and the embossing powder and stamps can be found on my web site.

I've always loved triple thick embossing. You can do so many different techniques, and the embossing powders available have a great mix of colours. The ones I have used here have a fantastic pearlescent sheen, and look amazing when they are mixed together.

Next month in Cardmaking and paper crafting I will be working with air dry clay....make sure you pick up your mag!

Getting ready for Monday

Monday, I'm back home, up north, and demoing. I'll be with Anne Marie and the gang at inspirations (by Cardcraft plus), in Preston. I am going to be working with the new paints from pinflair, which I have been prepping (any dirty nails on air in the next couple of days will be down to this!!). They are lovely, and glide over the paper. Obviously, we couldn't just use paper, here's a mirror I have finished - using the paints to stamp/colour and tint, and the glitter paints to stamp on glass and colour tint!

Hope you can visit in store on Monday.
