Weekend!! A real, live, weekend. I'm not sure why it feels like it's been ages since I had a proper weekend - it probably hasn't! I had a week of the other week....well, apart from working during the week and the weekend....maybe that doesn't count as a week off after all.
Anyhow, I've had a lovely couple of days. My ma and (step) pa came down to visit me - and to celebrate Neil's big birthday. It was so lovely to see them, and the hairy kids of course. My two boys received a fantastic greeting from Doc and Lora (Doc used to positively dislike mine....glad he seems to have chilled out).
We ate...a lot. Walked. Shopped. And enjoyed some lovely Brighton sunshine.
Marvellous.
Mum and Neil are back up north tomorrow, so I can get back to work...not to much rest for the wicked xx
Kinda like this "soft focus" look. It was actually a dirty lens....but, hey, if that works don't knock it...right
I felt it was customary to buy socks....but went for oddsocks. It's the way forward.
My mum and me :)

Carabelle Let Leonie Loose - zinouk
Hi crafters. I'm sitting in our little presenters room here at hochanda head quarters. I've got a nice short this week as my mum and step dad are visiting me in Brighton for neil's birthday. We are going to have a few days exploring with the pack of hairy kids when I get back.
I did manage to come in for my Let Leonie Loose show however...had to, one can't miss a couple of hours and the wonderful stamps that are Carabelle. I love the art work Azoline produces, they are really quirky and unique images, great to work with. I created a whole host of backgrounds, and then had fun decorating them with Zinouk.
I thought I'd share some of my makes.
Thank you for those who have already booked to join me on one of my workshops, I think there are still spaces, so if you haven't booked yet, have a look at th previous post for further details.
I created a stamped background, which I embossed with white embossing powder. I then used a stencil (in the show I actually used my In A Spin die cut) to paint through and add a paint layer onto the stamped image. Really chuffed with the way it turned out.
Art journals are brilliant for experimenting and keeping a visual record of your makes.
I love this little image, he's so cute. The background is made with acrylic paints, which have been layered and then gesso to create a highlighted area.
This background was actually paint directly applied to the stamp, so the image isn't a solid stamped image, which I really liked.
I think my flower dies go really well with the funky flowers from azoline
Finally, zinouk becomes a mermaid....and why wouldn't you. Just for the holidays

WORKSHOPS........bookings now being taken
Finally, I can confirm I have two dates for workshops "down south"....and I promise I won't change them this time (so sorry for my mix up if you booked the one on the 4th November!).
I am planning on using the brand new, and utterly stunning, Stamperia products. We will use the lovely rice papers, paper pads, and more....lots more!!
The workshops will run from 10am until 4pm, and we will have a lunch break at 12.30. We will provide refreshments throughout the day - and a light lunch.
The first weekend workshops will be on the 21st and 22nd October. The workshop projects will be repeated, so we will be doing the same things on Sunday as we do on Saturday.
The address for the first workshop is:
Rottingdean Whiteway Centre
Whiteway Lane
Rottingdean
Brighton
BN2 7HB
There's parking and disability access, if required.
The workshop will then be repeated on the 11th and 12th November. This will be held at:
That Craft Place
2 Grand Parade
Polegate
East Sussex
BN26 5HG
Unfortunately there is a flight of stairs, so no disability access - sorry! There is free street parking, but you may have to walk to the shop (not far!).
The price for the full day, including your crafty kit, refreshments, lunch and exclusive workshop goodies, will be £60.
In order to book a place we will require a £10 deposit, which will be refunded if you need to cancel your place within 2 weeks of the workshop. However, after that, if we don't manage to fill your place, I'm afraid you will loose the deposit if you have to cancel.
To book your place, and for further details, please email me at:
leoniepujol@hotmail.co.uk
Or speak to me, or my lovely friend Mandy, on 07517047611.
We will require you to pay the deposit of £10 to book your place, and we can take card payments or paypal.
I am so pleased I have finally been able to arrange these, and can't wait to get cracking!
Just in case you are not familiar with Stamperia products, here's a few makes from my recent Let Leonie Loose show.
I look forward to having some crafty, messy, fun weekends with you :) xx

Ally Pally
Good evening crafters.
That was a looonnnngggg drive home. Shattered, but now home with my two happy dogs, who were just a little bit happy to see me.
What a smashing weekend we've had at Ally Pally. I was lucky enough to demo all weekend with paints and stamps - obviously covered in a multitude of colours at the end of each day. I shared my delight in watching what paint does when splattered onto wet card.....seriously, it never gets boring! Thankfully, other people agree, and were just as keen to see the results as I was (i'm not out of a job yet then).
I was demoing with another selection of cool stamps from Carabelle - who were actually at the show! It's the first time they have brought their products to a UK show, so I was thrilled when they actually reconised me. Their designers are amazing, and it's so good to see all the finished samples and stamps in real life.
A usual Ally Pally is the best place to catch up with crafty pals. There are always so many familiar faces. Thank you to everyone who came to visit, who said lovely things, and brought us lovely things! I always come away worn out, but happy.
Dave! If you saw the wonderful poem I shared on facebook (all the colours of the distress pads)....this is the very gent who penned it for me.
I love theses ladies!!!! Always laughing, always bringing us a ray of sunshine....and also THE BEST vegan food xxxx
Ahem!!......
Awww, so pleased that Carol and Mum came to visit
saw
Carabelle!!!!! All the squeals
The wonderfully talented (and just lovely) Tracey from Lavinia Stamps
It was great to see some of my design team members as well, the very talented Anne and Jane. Thank you for all your inspirational work ladies :)
Aww, crafty buddies. Our Lisa, Julia and Phil :) xxx
And the Hochanda gang!! We cracked it team
The weekend was topped off with the best greeting and big hug from the lovely Katie, and seeing my lovely mate Barbara.

Elizabeth Craft Designs
Good evening......I realised today that I haven't posted on my blog in some time. And then I checked....January 2017!! That was my last post. I know I've been busy, but that's ridiculous isn't it.
As ever, I approach my blog with much gusto and determination. A daily blog, I can do that, right? Okay, really check Pujol. Nah, that isn't going to happen, but I am at least going to try for a couple of posts a week. We'll see how it pans out.
I wanted to share some of the samples from my weekly show on Hochanda, Let Leonie Loose. A couple of weeks ago I had some beautiful stamps from Els, along with matching dies. I loved working with them all, and it was a busy show, so I know a lot of people ordered them as well. I would love to see what you have made with the stamps and dies as well, so please drop me a line with your finished projects, so I can share them on my blog.
The show was part of the Hochanda birthday week....we were celebrating 2 years! Already. Can everyone remember the first show? Myself and Michelle were there, Proseccioo in hand. The cameras rolled. Lights. Vision. We were live. Okay, there were a few teething problems - but it was up and running. And there's no doubt, Hochanda has gone from strength to strength. We've seen a few different presenters come and go. Many bloopers have been recorded to delight us every Christmas. And we have all racked up a bit of gossip here and there.....But, above all, we have been joined by some incredible companies, who inspire and entertain us!
Anyway, back to the job in hand....Elizabeth Craft Designs. Lovely. So, here are some of the cards I made during, and for, the show. I used the pop up mechanism dies, which allowed me to make the cute pop up cards with ease. I also had fun with the really cute images, and it was so handy having dies which cut these out. No more fussy cutting.
I hope you like the cards, and I promise not to leave it as long next time....or at least I promise to do my very best! Fingers and toes crossed everyone xxx
