About Time!!!

Thought it was indeed about time I caught up with my blog - as usual time flew along without me even noticing - whats that about? Is it an age thing, urgh..... Anyhow since I last posted we have had a Craft Day, which was great. It's funny as we hardly see any other crafters who are in the QVC building on craft days - I didn't get chance to see Rosemary at all, but did manage to say hello to Nigel her lovely husband. It was a mad un! (I don't mean Nigel was a mad un!!).

Anyhow, recovered from that one after a week and started the mad catch up for my ATC club. If I had a tail the end would be well and truely chewed, always chasing it. Oh, to be organised. I have managed to post out quite a few trades, and even sent some of my Christmas cards. Believe it or not I made quite a few Crimbo cards, and then put them in a very safe place - took me days to find them!! I will be sending out more, but moving away from the Christmas theme, as it is a little late I suppose.

I am really looking forward to February, I'm visiting Topaz to see Tim Holtz demonstrate. I love his work so it'll be a great day. I'm also going to be doing some book signing, so hopefully see some friendly faces again (for more details of Tim's demo and my book please have a look on the Topaz web site, see link at the bottom of this page).

Brilliant news, I have found a location for our first meet and greet. I need to go and have a look and see if it will be suitable, but fingers crossed it sounds perfect. It is in Greenwich, which is a fantastic place to visit, so it can be a full day out. I will keep everyone informed, and hopefully will be able to get this off the ground soon.

If you have had a look at my Flickr account have you seen the groups on there for ATC's? There are loads, and alot of people who do one-to-one trades. I have not had time to do any trades, but love looking at all the work - some fantastic idea's, go and have a nosey.

Finally for now I have made some Oriental ATC's using products from a kit you can purchase from Topaz, all ATC members will receive a free sheet of stickers when you order the kit - remember to quote your full name (as you are registered in the ATC Club) and membership number when ordering. Please contact Topaz for the details of the kit, and how long the offer will run for. Have a look on the Flickr account to see the rest of the cards I have made (the two above are part of this collection).
I hope everyone is well. If you have found any good Crafty blogs out there share them with me and any readers.

Hi Leonie,

So what is about me then ??!!.......I'm so excited about having TWO of my ATC's on your "Flicker" BUT they are the TWO that haven't got a name to them ??? ...... was it something I said ?!!!.... Seriously "Roman Pockets- A Round Tuit" and the black & white Oriental Lady with Fan are all my own work !!! I'm heading for stardom.... I sent Catherine Huntley a Kitty ATC and she showed it on air on Craft Day in your show so I'm boring family and friends with the recording of that !!!!
Hope you are well and recovering from Christmas a little bit.

Haha, sorry Mary its a conspiracy that I always miss your name off the cards!! I'll make sure I amend it and make sure you are reconised for your work. I'm terrible, I take the photo's and if I don't write down the name straight away thats it, and there's no way of finding the card as I do the photography whilst I'm doing the trades. It doesn't take much to distract me (I do my trades whilst watching telly, so say no more - blame corrie!).
I remember the ATC you sent to Catherine as well, it was lovely. Keep up the good work.
I'm feeling alot better now after Christmas thank you. I'm full of things I want to do again, which is nice.
Take care Mary, and thank you for getting in touch.

Which kit is it that you used Leonie? not sure which one to ask about. The ATC's you made are lovely and so are all the ones sent in by the members.

Hi Leonie
Thought I would post a comment near my new friend Mary! Mary emailed me a few weeks ago to say that she had recieved one of my ATC's via the club and we got chatting about craft day and her ATC being shown. My claim to fame is that my Xmas card and ATC to Dawn were on the display boards on the TSV day at the end of Dec and I had a text on screen and a hello from Julian. We all love Julian - you too make me laugh when you work together! My new claim to fame is that you have one of my ATC's on your flicker pages! Coincidentally I have recieved one of Mary's ATC's in the last few days and our member numbers are very close! Anyway if you and Dawn need a break on a Tuesday, Mary and I will step in!!!! Ha! Ha!
I hadn't been on your blog for a while and read your last few postings. Hope you are feeling better. I'm sure Baby Jacob is watching his Mummy proudly every day. You are very inspiring. I've just read your book and have loads of ideas. There just aren't enough crafting hours in the day!
Looking forward to the shows tomorrow. Must go and try and find where I have hidden my pokey tool!!!

Hi Leonie!
...... and Sharon and everyone too!! It's great to read all the comments..... I too had my Xmas Card and ATC to Dawn displayed in December ?!!..... but I didn't want to go on about that aswell !!!! But I agree with Sharon.... if you and Dawn need a rest, the way the two of us are going, we will be famous enough to step in for you ! Ha Ha !!!
LEONIE... as Sally said, I would also like to know which kit I have got to ask about at Topaz? Hope I can create some equally gorgeous ATC's like yours!
SHARON... can't wait for the "Postie" with my expected mail from you!!
Love Mary

Hi Ladies,
Its great to read about people meeting through ATC's, shows the theory works! Fantastic, spread the word. I am so glad you have been inspired by my book, thank you.
It's been a long day, Rosemary's TSV today which was beautiful, so I won't waffle!! The kit I used was one that I have put together with products available from Topaz. If you give them a ring I am sure Laura or Rena will be able to help you.
Thank you so much for all your kind words.

I just wanted to say thanks for putting a link to my blog at the bottom of yours. I can't tell you how chuffed I was when I saw it there.

I really love seeing all the ATCs you show too. It is great inspiration for me.

Hi,

just to say i went to the Topaz opening day. Was lucky enought to be able to meet both Leonie and Tim. Loved Tims style, just cant afford all the things you "need". Also spent a bit of time watching Leonie doing her ATC's, such a lovely person. Could have spent all day chatting. Look forward to seeing you again sometime
