Hellooooo...

It’s been more than a while since I posted on my blog. I honestly didn’t think the last time was February however! Good grief, where has spring and summer gone! Well, that’s that, the leaves are turning, and the rivers are bubbling away over their banks - and the heating is on.

You find me with just Dave the dog to keep me company. Sadly I had to let my beautiful Dylan go, which broke my heart, and I know Dave has missed him. He was 14, and really struggling to walk. But those eyes, still bright and happy. It’s such a tough decision isn’t it. I had him since he was born, so 14 years of happiness, which absolutely makes the sadness of his passing utterly bearable. Dave is loving the extra hugs, and the longer walks. He’s even taken to barking when he’s excited, which used to be his brothers job!

Work is still fantastic. I love my job. I’ve had a number of one day specials, which have meant I’ve been able to work with Jane Davenport and La Blanche goodies. I’m incredibly lucky! My Let Loose shows are still going strong, and we have introduced quite a few brand new companies to Hochanda, which is always exciting.

It was really nice to see you and fsmily at the craft fair in Oundle last month. After me and the other half getting over our fan moment I am glad to say that seeing you had reinvigorated a crafty block and we have been crafting merrily getting ready for the next one. I wish you your family and everyone you work with happiness and health.

Sorry to hear about Dylan. How lovely to have had him for 14 years. It's great to see your blog posts - whenever they arrive! Love your demos, ideas and, most of all total inspiring enthusiasm x

Sad for you losing Dylan Dog. My Polly Whippet crossed the Bridge at a few weeks off 15 (and I'd had her from 7 weeks) so I know how you must feel. I had to get Jenty Whippet as Callie Lurcher was pining so much and her distress made me so unhappy - you can't explain to a dog! They've settled well and, although it took a while for Jenty to settle after horrible experiences in his former home, they helped each other and now they are a happy pair of oldies!
I love your shows and am SO pleased you are sticking with Hochanda. It's wonderful to see less well known companies and their products demo'd so well by you (and Lou) -so much inspiration!! I hope to be able to see you for many years to come.

Saying goodbye to a loved pet is so very hard for us left behind, it breaks my heart every time. But what joy we share over the years while they are with us. Feel for you and Dave. Animals grieve just as we do and like us, it takes time to adjust. Sending a hug and thank you for sharing all your lovely work. xx
