28 days left on that ticking clock!!

Evening crafty folk. 28 days. There's a film about that - mind you was it 28 days later?

Back to the job in hand Pujol. Okay, a relatively quick card today, well it should have been, but I did end up faffing a little. I decided to use part of an old Kanban kit I had:

I selected this pretty panel

And decided to emboss it, to add texture.

I couldn't remember what the folder was called...its this one:

I selected a sentiment which matched the cut away corners of the panel die cut, and added a little distress ink to the panel. I applied the ink lightly so as to only ink the embossed image

As usual, I had a play to decide on the layout of the card

I'm looking forward to being able to re-open my web site - I have so much ribbon! This is one of them, it's sheer yet has a stunning sparkle

I tied a bow in the centre to pull the ribbon in - this is where the sentiment will sit

I was going to cut a slit in the card to thread the ribbon - but because I had embossed the card, attempting to cut it with a craft knife just ended with me tearing the card. Plan. If you want to cut the card, do it prior to embossing. Instead I just stuck the ribbon with double sided sticky on the back of the panel

I found some pretty tonic die cuts, which I feel frame the panel beautifully. I then decided I would plum for some flowers as well

The die cuts are to white so i colour tinted them with the distress ink. I also added gold gilding wax. Actually, I added gilding wax to everything.

I decided to cut a frame from the brown card

And then cut a piece of gold to mat and layer onto. I then stuck this onto a co-ordinating card, and distressed the edges

I used two more little pieces of ribbon for the corners, which I pulled in using double sided tape

Have a little look...

Change my mind :) More flowers were added

And more gilding wax. The pebeo gilding wax is just so nice. And here we have our finished card for this evening...

Love the texture of the emboss on the topper. I wouldn't have thought to do that, yet it is so effective. Thanks for sharing.
