37 days to go

Hi crafters, well today isn't going to be a normal post, as today we heard the news that the incredible David Bowie, has passed away.

I won't claim to be a mega fan. But he was undeniably a true musical legend. And did seem like such a nice bloke. I loved his diversity. His ability to warp and change - and to push the boundaries. There are so many records of his which I love.

He was amazing.

For my piece today I've done something very simple. I printed out some of the lyrics from Lazarus, one of the tracks from Bowies latest, and indeed last, album.

I then drew the iconic Ziggy Stardust symbol, which I coloured using my spectrum noir pencils - I didn't want to use pens as I wanted the words to be the focal point. I then drew over the printed words with my drawing pen, to make them stand in a little.

This is fabulous Leonie. I was a huge Bowie fan and I'm feeling quite broken today. This is a brilliant tribute to a brilliant man. Cathy x
