Just 5 days left

I've had a lovely day today, ticking boxes and crossing stuff off the "to do" list.....oh, actually, that's not true.  I added 20 things to the "to do" list!!  haha, still had a good day though.

And managed to get my blog post done.  Yesterday I had a play with the scraper foil card, but had ideas which I wanted to test out, like stamping on the scraper foil.....

First I stamped and embossed in white using a cool stamps from Stampendous, onto the scraper foil:

I then scraped away some of the black coating, on the flower head, leaves and stalk

The card had some scratches on it, so to hide them, I decided to draw on a dotty pattern.

I wanted to add a little more colour, so I used the adirondack pens to colour in the foil uncovered when scraped

I added a little blue onto the petals

And green onto the leaves and stalk

That's it, I then decided to mat and layer this onto a card

Such a simple process, but I really like the effect

Lovely I have a very small stash of scraper board and have only ever used it on an embossing folder I must have a go at actually scraping! The way you've added extra colour to it too, is stunning I hope you've added "me time and rest time" to your list!

I remember having a version of foil scratch card one Christmas, when I was a child. Seemed like magic! Like your flower.

I love what you have done here using the black foil, I wasn't aware you could buy this I thought it was only the kits you could buy. This looks amazing!! I love the idea of using a stamp and then scraping to reveal the parts you want to stand out.
I can't wait to see today's post :) Not long to go now Leonie until house arrest is over Yey!!! :) xx

I didn't realise you could heat emboss on scraper board, but then again I haven't actually played with scraper foil since my kids were young. You have created yet another brilliant card. I wish I had half of the ideas floating around in my head as you appear to have. x

I've really enjoyed your blogs on scaper-board. I have several sheets left over from years ago. I didn't know it was still around!! I am now going to dig it out and play. I particularly like today's technique as I hadn't thought of stamping onto the board.
Many thanks for all your inspirational blog postings and looking forward to seeing you on TV again (I do hope it's Ho*****a!).
