Where I'm hiding :)

This is just a little post for those who are still wondering where I've disappeared too, and why the silence - as I do still get regular questions on facebook - so figured it was easier to share on here for everyone.

I handed my notice in at C&C way back in August! Gosh, it doesn't seem that long ago, time has flown.  It was a big decision.  I loved my time at C&C, and I was given such an amazing opportunity.  However, as we do in life, it was time for a change.  I used to love the creative freedom, and when that was taken from me - it did feel like a massive restriction, and for us crafty types, you know that's not a good thing, so when a new opportunity came my way, I felt it was right to give it a go.

I was on garden leave for 3 months, and now I have to wait another 3 months before I can tell people where I'm going to work - and actually start work!  This has been the reason for my crafty countdown.  I now have a WEEK before I start work.

I sincerely loved my time at C&C, the experience was incredible, but the people I met were even more important - I have met friends for life.

And now, the new chapter awaits.  I'm excited, and nervous.  6 months not working has gone so fast, but it almost feels like I'll be starting from the beginning - fingers crossed I remember what I'm supposed to do.

Although, I can't tell you where I'm going as yet, I can tell you I will be back on your screens.  I'll be doing workshops and much more.....

Thank you for all the wonderful messages I have received, it has been incredible.  I do hope you will follow me on my journey - these things are always better with a bunch of crafty mates :)

Wishing the week away now, has gone by so fast.......am sure you'll be back in the swing of things very quickly...you don't lose that artyness (?) quickly as your blog posts prove.

So looking forward to seeing you again on our screens...will you be at any of the shows this year - I only go to Ally Pally really now as NEC to expensive and crowded and Doncaster has lost it's sparkle for me.

Try to sleep and rest up before you go back to work, take care and see you soon, luv Jackie xx

You have been missed by many on TV and am sure will have a "gang" of well wishers watching and supporting your return. At times it seems so long ago since I started wondering where you had disappeared to when you weren't on C&C any more, and at others the time has flown. Well only a week to go. Make sure you rest so you don't get any more bugs!

Hi Leonie,
It's great to know that you will soon be back on our screens and that you will have the chance to nurture your creativity. From my experience a creative mind needs to be taken care of. It's good to be a bit nervous about a new opportunity, it shows that you care.
I really hope you will have time to continue to share your talent through your blog and that your new job is everything you hope it will be.
Thanks for sharing,
Heather

Can't believe its only a week and so looking forward to having you back on the "telly"......or "live online" (haven't got sky)?!?!???? Wherever it is I will be watching as you are a fantastic craft presenter (I do remember your first appearance on qvc!!! I took my hat off to you, you were thrown in the deep end, you've gone from strength to strength and now you are one of the best!!!). You are joy to watch and great at sharing all your amazing ideas and knowledge.....can't wait!!!! X

HI, I've not been too well for the past few months, so I haven't been looking at the C&C so much, but have managed some programmes and I wondered where you were. Thought you must have been behind the scenes, craftily (ha! get it!) yes well, as I said I haven't been too well. Anyway, this is a surprise, although from you blog, I've seen some of you'r fantastic art work. I hope the new job allows you to keep on with the creative stuff, you were wasted on C&C, I'd thought that for a while.

Anyway, I wish you all the luck in the world - you deserve it!

Love Sue B

Hi Leonie

Am assuming you are going to the Craft Channel. Made this assumption picking up on a few things Julian has said on air referring to you when I've been watching online (as I can't get it on TV) Good luck and look forward to seeing you there.

Hi Leonie, ah I was one of those people wondering where you were as I have missed your cheerful chatter (not to mention your Lancashire accent - my parents came from
Rochdale). It will be so good to have your talent back on tv - good luck, I am sure you will pick up the threads as if you had never been away!
Best wishes
Veronica
