We love ribbon!

I did this project for my monthly diary in the Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine, and wanted to share it with you so you could see it in a little more detail. I was going to take photo's of the back of the wreath as well...but forgot!! It's too late and dark to be mucking about with photo's at the moment I'm afraid, so I'll have to put those on my web site gallery. Anyhow, as I have got the free P&P offer on the web site at the moment, I thought this was the perfect piece to show you how wonderful little bits of ribbon can look. I made the wreath with different types of black ribbon - different textures and finishes look great together. I cut the spider web and the BOO and buttons on my Cameo Silhouette, and used a mask with my Eco Paints to decorate them. I also used some of the wonderful embellishments to add a touch of glamour. I love Halloween, so doing projects like this is great fun!

Happy Days...

Had a great day at work today. Started rather early (those dark mornings are rubbish arn't they!), but after a brisk walk with the dogs I was awake...ish. At C&C towers we started the day with the Serif Blockbuster. I'm gutted I haven't got this yet, I really need to get a new lap top and sort myself out. I was attempting to blag one from work...I figured if I had one with all the serif software and digi-kits on then I would be able to demo it perfectly!! Sounds sensible to me. It was funny, as backstage and the techies were still trying to sort our computer out whilst I was going through the boards - talk about seat of our pants crafting. Still, love Serif, so as soon as I can start to play I'm a happy bunny. I had a show with Sarah today, Peerless Crafts. Love her work, she is so talented, and it's always nice to have shows with her. I had my spellbinders, and then the brilliant Sara. The Toreds are brilliant. Have you seen them? Really cute, but cheeky. I came home to loads of orders, so I've got to get on and get packing!! Free P&P is always good, as it means you can treat yourself to small orders without getting hit with expensive postage charges. You still have till next Friday to treat yourself, so no rush. Now, today I will share another card from our workshop, this time from me. I love this stamp and papers from My Minds Eye - so cool. And the adhesive gems are brilliant...check em out on the web site!

Web Offer

Hi again team, well it's that time again where I manage to do a run of blog postings!! Lets see how long this lasts. First I wanted to share a few pics of the lovely frame Sandy taught at our recent workshop, isn't it beautiful. I love the Twiddley Bitz, and was so thrilled Sandy did as well. I am definitely going to work on the advent calendar for the next magazine issue. If you would like the frame Sandy has used then please click here I love Sandy's work, if you can ever get to a workshop when she's with me, then do try it's most definitely worth it. Now, web offer. I have a plan to celebrate something each week and give a different offer - we'll see how long that lasts! But to kick start this plan, I'm offering free P&P until the 5th October to anyone who places an order that has ribbon in it. Now, there is no minimum or maximum order - the only stipulation is that there has to be at least one length of ribbon. All you need to do is enter the code: RIB1 when you check out. Righto, better get to bed, up early doors tomorrow - boo!!!

Ali Pali

Thank you to everyone who visited us at Ali Pali, it was, as ever, a joy to meet everyone. And thank you to those who came bearing gifts!! Being treated, fed and watered (with wine!!) is always a mega extra bonus. Now, due to another Ideal World leaving do, I haven't time to do a long post, so this is a quickie, but I'll pop a quick photo on just to show you that I didn't just chat!!

Birthdays and Barbara Gray

Well, what a lovely birthday weekend I've had. I think I can say its been one of the best. Friday at work was great fun, then we went out in the evening which was great. I was in work Saturday but my first show was a delight, with the wonderful Anne Pickard decorating cakes. This was followed by 2 hours of crafting with Barbara Gray! That's work. How good is that. Barbara is so brilliant. We used the new splodge mat - which Barbara really "gets" so can use and demo it properly, and it is brilliant. For once my brayering was good - even if I say so myself!! It was the perfect hangover cure :) I've attached a couple of photos of my efforts from Barbara's class.

I want to thank everyone who sent cards in as well - it was really lovely, and I felt really lucky. Thank you.
