Marianne die project

Evening crafters. I've remembered to take photos whilst prepping for my Let Leonie Loose show using the beautiful Marianne dies.

First, I made the stand, by cutting the die 3 times:

As they are symmetrical they stick together easily and make a strong stand

Next I cut the oval - once with the centre in place, and then removing the centre to leave an ornate frame:

I actually cut the full oval twice - but forgot to take a photo of that one!!

I glued the frame to the full oval using 3D foam pads, and then started to fill the frame with the Marianne swirl and floral dies

I attached a ribbon and lace at the top, and also attached the full frame to the back in order to make a shaped card.

I really enjoyed working with these dies - makes a change to go home with clean hands :)

One Day Special TONIGHT!!

Eeeekk...it's come round so quickly, but this evening I have my second range of products being launched on Hochanda. We go live at 8pm...and I'm excited and a squidgy bit nervous!

This second range is completely different from the first collection. These stamps have been inspired by the sense of freedom I've felt, new beginnings, and new adventures. I do hope you like them.

I need to say a massive thank you to my wonderful design team, Jane, Katrina, Elaine and Nick. You are fantastic....THANK YOU

I'll share the teams work over the next few days....here's a couple of mine as a little teaser 😊

Let Leonie loose - stampbord

Morning crafters

I've been meaning to post on my blog, but time has run away with me as usual!

Last weeks LLL show id picked some cool stamps and stencils to work with the indigo blu - together with stampbord. If you haven't tried stampbord yet, give it a go. It's a cool product. It has a lovely smooth surface, beautiful for stamping on - but there's so many possibilities.

I wanted to run through a simple wall hanging for you.

I started with 3 pieces of the stampbord, distress inks and a pocky tool. I put holes in the stampbord with the tool, but a crop a dile works really well

Using the inks and cut n dry, blend the ink onto the bords

The ink blends easily. Now, using a permanent ink pad, stamp the floral stamp on two of your bords, I wanted the image to sit at the top of one bord, and the bottom of the next

I added some extra texture with a stencil and the distress ink, and popped them into position so I can see how they will sit when complete

I then stamped the sentiment image on the 3rd bord

I wanted the middle section to have a glazed finish, so covered the whole piece with versamark and clear UTEE.

Glue them together, making sure the bord with the holes is at the top. I used cosmic shimmer glue to stick them. To finish I added white highlights with the scraper tool, by simply scratching off the ink and taking it back to the white of the bord.

I then added a wire handle to hang my piece

Kinda happy with it!!

Okay, let's get cracking on today's show 😀
