Pick of the Day!

Well, after a whirlwind prep, tonight is the launch of our craft POD. There's loads of offers, some real crackers, so I hope you'll be able to join me.

I didn't have bags of time to prep, but what cards I did manage to make I will share on here.

Can I also say thank you to all those who have volunteered to be my guest designer on my web site. I have made my decision and just need to get in touch with the lucky lady and send her loads of stuff to play with! Whoop whoop.

Now, the first card is bright and beautiful and made with my favourite range of papers, graphic 45. I have also used the really handy square dies from spellbinders. I love the simple dies, they have so many uses.

First I cut out my squares. I planned which flowers I wanted to be falling "out" of the square - the large flower that I've allowed to sit in the corner, then the smaller rounder flower. The paper is made up of a repeat pattern meaning I can easily use it for decoupage. Whilst the die was still in place I inked around the edges of the card to emphasise the colours.  Remove the dies and then cut some plain green square.

I matted my squares onto light yellow card to match the colours of the paper, then onto the blue paper from the pad. I cut the matching flowers from my paper and curled them to give them shape. I decoupaged them using pinflair glue.

To finish my card I added a couple of prima paper butterflies, cosmic shimmer pva and glitter glue. Hope you can tune in tonight at 9pm on ideal world :)
