All Counties Craft Challenge

Well, what a wonderful weekend.

I want to say a massive thank you to John Bloodworth for inviting me to take part, and for the organisation he put into the event.  It was amazing.  I loved catching up with some of my lovely friends, who I haven't seen in ages, that'll be you Paula (with her fantastic book), Julie, who actually attended classes, and Sarah, looking stunning as ever.  I even saw Dean who was teaching some fantastic techniques for furniture and mixed media.  And it was so so good meeting wonderful crafty ladies, and teaching again.

The positive energy was fantastic.  It's so nice to be with people who have such good energy, and share the passion for creativity. It's utterly uplifting and definitely inspiring.  It reminds me why my job is so incredible (as if I ever forget).  I've come home with a wonderful glow and that lovely excitable tingle you get....do you know what I mean.....when life feels good!  When anything is possible.  When you are just thankful for where you are in life......am I sounding a bit gushy?

If you want to follow John's travels, or maybe even go along to one of his workshops, then please head on over to his blog:

It tells you much more there, and there will definitely be dates for your diary.

Thank you to the lovely ladies who came along - as usual I hardly took any photo's, so if anyone has some to share, that would be super!!!

ATC's, QVC, RAC, VAT

Okay, I'm not going to babble about RAC or VAT - it just fitted in and I got on a role!

Sorry my posts have been quiet, I seem to have been away from home for ages - or at least if I've been here I've been busy with work or family. Busy busy.

Had my workshop on Saturday, really enjoyed it. Everyone was lovely, I could have done a full day - need to do a few of them I think. We did a Christmas card using the lovely Lindsay Mason's Snowbaby stamp - dead cute. We also used the great stamps by the equally lovely Paula Pascual, her sentiment stamps are so handy and look clean and sophisticated when stamped out. We did some blending using Tim Holtz Distress pads and work with gilding flakes.

Booked the next workshop for the 24th October in Wincheap again. Hopefully should have another one in Harlow - I'll confirm that when it's booked though.

Well, I'm almost ready for tomorrow, ironing done and dusted. Nicky has taken photo's of some of the cards I have made for the shows so I can share them with you this week, but the ATC on here tonight is an old one that I did for a workshop. I really liked this one, as I used old watch hands which I bought from Ebay, they are so delicate and detailed. They have been attached to a stamped watch face using glossy accents.

Righto, time for bed. Remember we have our MacMillan Event on Thursday, really looking forward to it (bit of a panic now, loads to do!!).

Happy Birthday DAD!!!

Okay, he wanted it kept quiet but heyhoo, Happy Birthday Dad. I won't mention the age, not that it matters at all eh!!

We didn't have a big enough cake to support all the candles required though - hahaha.....sorry dad.

We had a surprise meal for him on Thursday night, which was great. Didn't manage to catch up with everyone properly (never do at meals do you), and we had to go home the same evening so I could make Uni in the morning, but it was still great.

Uni has also been great, we have been doing printing - screen printing, mono printing, dry point and something else that you use a smelly spray with! Brilliant fun. Me and Ashley were swots, and went in an extra day (whooo). We had a good giggle, and managed to work! Fab.

Only one whinge, my stupid car's not working properly - again. Grrr. It cuts out every time I slow down, so I'm attempting not to slow down - or jump starting on the move. I look like I'm kangarooing all the way down the road when I'm stuck in traffic. Looks like it's back to the garage, boo hoo, I'm much to skint to be having my car fixed!!

Just a couple of photo's of work I did on a kit that was in the last QVC show, love the papers in this one.

The photo's of me and Carly were taken by Paula, she's as good with the camera as she is with her crafting - brilliant xx

Me and Carly on Dawn's Portugal crafting holiday, having a well earned cheeky beer (mmm in the sun, how lovely).
