Let Leonie loose samples continued

Morning everyone. It's a grey old day here in the borough - which may not be a bad thing. I don't need to be distracted by the weather - I have designing to get on with today, and deadlines to meet :)

I forgot to share this photo the other day:

This was one of the scenes created in the pan. I haven't quite mastered Frans amazing technique yet for this one - but I'm pretty chuft with it. I created in the same way as the scenes posted a couple of days ago, so please check back if you missed that one.

In the show I also used some really beautiful stamps, for my main image and to stamp into the molten embossing powder. It makes a wonderful effect:

This can be done with the heat gun. I like the white one for this technique, which looks similar to a hair dryer, as it's not as quick and forceful as the heat tool, so you don't blow the powder away.

Start with a layer of versamark, and add a layer of your clear embossing powder. Emboss until it's melted, and then add another layer. I added 2 layers of clear then started sprinkling on the colour. You can add as many colours as you wish.

Ink up the stamp, either with clear or coloured ink, and then stamp into your powder when it's nice and melted. Hold the stamp for a few moments, then gently pull out of the embossing powder. The effects are stunning.

I'll share the other one i did tomorrow, as I haven't taken a photo of it for some reason.

Hi Leonie, These samples are stunning, especially the 'scene' the first one, it looks like a very rough sea and the sand in the foreground, absolutely fabulous.
I was so sad today when I read that Hochanda was going off Freeview for 6 weeks, as I only have Virgin and Freeview, it's going to be awful as, even though I have superfast broadband from Virgin, to try and watch a TV channel online is nigh on impossible, I had to stop watching The Craft Channel because of the buffering, so I'm really upset with the news, I was hoping against hope that they would be coming on Virgin, but alas even Freeview is going off. Sad face hahaha.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Leonie

Beautiful work I watched you doing these demo's really enjoyed it ooooh it was like

having a workshop one to one. I watch on the computer in the Craft Den I don't have

Freeview only the basic Virgin I think we will have to get a petition into Virgin to

tell them they are missing out not having the amazing Hochanda on.

Happy Easter and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Love and BIG hugs Annxx

Hi Leoni love what you've done. The sea scene looks fantastic just like whipped up frothy waves on a rough day. Sad to lose Hochanda for few weeks on Freeview, it's just not the same trying to watch on my tablet.x

Loved watching you make the sea scene on Wednesday.
Am going to miss seeing you for the six weeks not on free view. Had to search around to find out what was being talked about as not on Facebook. Not impressed that Hochanda will be off air for six weeks.

Loved this artwork. I have only just watched this programme on catch up as we were away on a short holiday. Thankfully at the end of the programme I was able to order a few of the items including the book as they were still in stock, can't wait for them to arrive.
Sorry to see Hochanda leaving us for a short spell, I will save money for the return.
I have a smart TV but can't get it to play 'live' not sure why?

See you at Ally Pally.

Happy Easter to all @ Hochanda.

Love Bev xx

What a shame that Hochanda is off Freeview until May. I set my machine to record your shows (which I love) and nothing happened. I was really looking forward to seeing it. I am not able to view the programme via my computer/tablet.

I have had trouble getting your blog on my iPod I hadn't realised I'd missed a few days posts. I'm thoroughly enjoying your shows. Never ever done this kind of embossing and it looks so good. I love all of your pieces, especially the mask and the poppies
